My Passion Project

I love working with children and I thought that helping them with basketball was a good idea.  I finally chose my project to be a basketball clinic because it would be easier than a soccer clinic.  This was what I had originally planned on doing.  I learned that children love to learn about different things.  Even if they already knew how to do play basketball, I still had children come to learn more things and to get better.  Maybe and I do not really know if I would like the freedom of choice on the future of assignments in other classes because it could be harder to try to come up with an exact idea that would work for the project.  This project has changed me in ways that I can't even speak about.  I realized that some families are not able to pay for their children to go to different sports camps.

Final To Do List

I have finished my passion project on March 23rd. I will be making a Google site with all of the pictures that were taken that day at the basketball clinic.  The pictures will be going on a Google Site with a brief description of what was going on.  The clinic was very enjoyable and once it was over I had children and their parents asking me if I would be doing another one next year.  After doing the clinic this year makes me think that I want to do this the next 3 years of high school and extending the age limit every year. Right now I do not have any questions that I can think of.

Documenting & Publicizing My Passion Project

1. I am going to be holding a basketball clinic for kids in grades 2nd to 4th grade. 2. Before I can publicize my project I have to check and see if the gym is available on one of the days I want to use it.  Then I have to create a flier to give out to the kids in those grades.  Then I have to host the clinic. 3. While I am creating the fliers in will be designing them myself.  I will also take some photos while the clinic is going on. 4. I will be taking pictures at the clinic and will be creating a little art gallery.  After the clinic I will email the parents pictures of the kids if they want them.  I will also being creating a website that they can look at the pictures whenever they want. 5. I will be close to booking the the date soon in March.  I will not be going into May.  If any of the dates I chose don't work in March, I will be going into April.

Next Step Results

Next step is to find a place on where I hold the event.  I have to contact some people to see if I can use a space.  I am going to be contacting the pastor of my church to see if I can rent the gym for a few hours.  I need to pick a date that there are no problems.

I will be doing a basketball clinic for younger children.  My next step will be where I can have the clinic and what date I can do it.  I have to make sure I get this step done in order to go to the next step.

My Time Mangement

I got 36 points on the Time Mangement Questionnaire.  Yes, I agree with the description I was given because that is my life is basically.  I keep a schedule of my day and plan out the things I have to do.  I would sleep because I would be up most of the night doing homework.

I don't know what I want to do yet for my passion project.  I am still thinking on what I want to do just quite yet.  I have not come up with a new idea since I did the mind map.  I am thinking on doing something with kids, it maybe a basketball clinic.  I don't know if that is exactly what I want to do yet or not.  How do I want to figure it out exactly.  Not knowing what I can do exactly.
